You had somewhat of the right idea by choosing the B series though, as blue cancels out orange. Since you look to be a level 6 or so, the level 9 will not and cannot tone or cancel any warmth out. Demi color can only darken, and you have to match up your hair color level to the level of the color you are using, or pick a shade that is darker.
So the issue is not the shades eq, but the formula you chose.
Looking at these photos, I feel like the orange parts are mostly on the underside of my hair bc if I leave my hair down, it looks fine? I'm not really sure what to do bc I've tried the Wella toners in several shades and those never helped. Unfortunately, my hair looks okay but when I put it under the light, it has an exaggerated orange highlight color. It's been 2 hours and my hair has finally dried down and I went to look at the mirror. I left it on for 10 minutes and washed out. I was so excited to tone my hair today bc I heard so many good things about it. I have super brassy dark brown hair with some yellow so that's why I threw in some 9v. I toned with 3/4 9B and 1/4 9V in Shades EQ.
If anything, it was a tad too dark so I may go a shade lighter next time because I was a more brunette color and my hair turned out to a dark brown.
